Reid Elgin
29, March 7, 1982
Music Teacher at Garfield High School.
Lives with [info]trisgold

  • Reid was born in Everett, WA to Wayne and Elizabeth Elgin. Wayne was a party clown and Liz a lawyer. After Reid, they had 5 more children, all girls. Reid is extremely protective over his sisters, especially the one closest to his own age. Reid's parents separated when he was 12, but they continued to live in the same house for their kids. It was confusing for the kids, who often forgot their parents were getting a divorce, but worked out for the best as Liz was never good with the kids and Wayne was a real pro. He moved out when their last daughter turned 18 and went off to college. Wayne then moved to Seattle, near his son and eldest daughter.

  • His parents put him in charge of the younger kids early. He was the eldest and as the girls got older, they began to listen to him as much as they did their parents. Reid's family says that was the reason he decided to become a teacher. His love for kids and the ability to help make them better people where the other factors.

  • Another one of his passions is music. It's something he's always enjoyed and had an aunt who played in the Trans Siberian Orchestral who helped his passion grow. He began playing the piano very young and the guitar soon after that. In college, Washington State University, he majored in Music before getting his teaching degree.

  • Reid began substitute teaching at a school in Spokane, WA. He enjoyed the school and got to know a great deal of the faculty, who seemed to adore him. When a full time position in Seattle was offered, he had to take the job. Not to mention, it was much closer to his family in Everett. He was 26 when he moved to Seattle.

  • Reid lives with his good friend, Tristan, who owns the cupcake shoppe that is situated fairly close. He's not really looking for a wife and kids quite yet, so he enjoys living with his best bro. They get along well and he doesn't find fault in it, even though his mother disagrees and asks him if he's homosexual on the regular.

  • Reid is not homosexual, but he's definitely not a ladies man either. He had his moment for that (college), but when he got his full time job in Seattle, he began to settle down and found himself a serious girlfriend, whom he dated for over a year.
